Red Velvet

Have you ever heard of the famous Magnolia Bakery in New York City? Jess bought me the cookbook for my birthday. I decided to try the red velvet cupcakes. Here are the results...
The frosting is much different than what I usually make.
It's kind of a whipped cream texture and flavor.
And, my piping tip came out of the bag so the frosting looks interesting.

Probably the cutest cupcake helper ever even though she was covered in red.
She said, Kritsy! It looks like I'm bleeding.
(I know that is spelled wrong, that's how she says my name)

Little fingers in the red red batter.

The batter was SO red.
I wouldn't recommend making these with small children.
I learned that lesson the hard way.
