It's always been my dream to have my very own Kitchenaid. Lately I've been hearing that the Bosch is better. I have always used my Mom's no name brander so I have no idea which to choose! Please advise...
I have no idea, since I use my dang hand mixer for everything and am too poor to buy a cool mixer. But I do know that I think Kitchenaids are SO CUTE. And last week when I saw the rainbow of kitchenaid colors at Macy's I almost pooed my pants.
I love my Kitchen-Aid, but I don't know which one I would choose if I had to pick one. My mom has an old Bosch & I used it all growing up. Both have advantages: The Bosch (at least my mom's) does bread dough better--it doesn't seem to tax the motor quite as much, but I think it's easier to clean the Kitchen-aid (I never liked cleaning out the bowl of the Bosch). I also like the attachments that you can get for the Kitchen-aid (I use my wheat grinder all the time). So sorry--nothing definitive, but honestly, I don't think you can go wrong either way (just be sure to get the "heavy duty" kitchen-aid if you go that route).
I really think they serve different purposes honestly - coming from someone who doesn't bake much himself... ideally you should get both!
The nice thing about both is that they have interesting and useful attachments, for example if you went the Bosch route, you can forget having a separate blender as it can take over that duty as well.
I always wanted a Kitchenaid too, because I thought Bosch was too expensive. My mom had one, so that's what I grew up with. Anyway, one year for x-mas I got a REALLY bonus, so I got a Bosch and I LOVE IT!! I think they are built better and have a bigger motor, but the Kitchenaid is less expensive and will last a long time too . . . if you want to spend less now and save for later.
Don't waste your cashola! BUY THE BOSCH! IT does everything the Kitchenaid does but better! If you want a wheat grinder buy that separate. There is something to say about buying something that it was built for. I make bread all the time and i love my nutrimill wheat grinder too! It is pricy but there are others out there that do a good job for a little less. I promise you will not be disapointed with the Bosch, however if you are going to be doing breads and doughs you would be if you owned the kitchenaid. I learned from experience! so far looks like the Bosch wins!
..i have both & i use them for different things. If you are going to get the KA, get the Professional Series.. and if you can afford both (the KA looks great sitting out) whereas the Bosch not so much. But I LOVE how big the bowl is on the B and how it makes great rolls and bread.. so I guess it depends on how much you'll be using it and what for... I could argue for both, I love them!
Kristy!!! How the heck are you. I wish you would've commented on my blog earlier so I could see yours! Loved hearing from you and so excited for you that your getting married. So much fun. Good Luck with everything. And no - I didn't forget you, I don't think that's possible.

In the end, I endorse both!

i have heard bosch is better...says my wise little mama. but kitchenaids work well too.
i think either way, you'll be happy you have a mixer, right?...and i'm sure whatever tasty thing you're whipping up will be fantastic.

kitchen aids are prettier....never used either, but you know how i feel about a kitchen aid
